What is something you love most about Valencia? I’ve asked almost everyone I’ve met here and they usually gave the same answer: “the fact that there’s a beach, vibrant city life, and a huge park.” I couldn’t agree more! I hear you thinking, though: “aren’t there plenty of parks?” Yes, but the mother of all parks is called Turia. With its 9 kilometers, it’s the largest urban park in Spain. There’s a lot to discover about this old riverbed, so stick with me!

Did you know that valencia has its own famous Central Park? The Valencianos had to wait for 30 years to see this old railway station turn into a unique, gorgeous urban park. But after years of hard work, it was finally there: Parque Central. And boy, was it worth the wait.

Mercabanyal is basically a never-ending food truck festival in one of the most authentic neighborhoods of Valencia. Yeah, it’s clear, you have to visit this unique outdoor space at least once in your life.

Now, of course, you can go to one of Valencia’s beautiful beaches and take a dip in the sea, but if you really want to cool down… splashing around in a swimming pool is your best bet. Trying to find public outdoor swimming pools in this city requires a bit of research, though. But we’ve tested the waters! Guess what?
